The Big Kahuna

There is No Doubt in my mind that my kids have a cool dad. No Doubt. When I work a couple Saturdays a month he will take them out to do cool stuff. He has loaded the "Sweet Ride" as little Brian calls it, with 3 boys and stuff galore and off to Las Vegas for a weekend.

Then there are the Children's Museum or Dinosaur Museum. If they just stay home they all Rock out on Rock Band. Surely, this man still has his youthful zest.

One Saturday he took them to the Mall to see the SWAT Hummer, Helicopter, Fire Truck, and Police Car/Motorcycles. Does it get anymore fun than that? Everything was hands on and he even remembered the camera. Bless Him!

Griffey wore a shirt that said, "My Dad is the Big Kahuna." As they were checking out the SWAT Hummer a muscle clad SWAT officer looked at my husband and said, "I take it your The Big Kahuna?" with a great chuckle. Oh what I would've paid to have been there that day.

Brian is Just Living the Dream
Sat on the Police hog
Wore the Fireman Gear complete with goggles, hat and Gas Mask, while in the Firetruck!
SWAT jacket, How awesome is that? Does the Hummer Hover or what?
Up close and Personal with a Helicopter
Interact with a SWAT Robot
With that I complete another chapter in the Daw Chronicles. Take home message, Dad's Rock.

Lincoln Logs

Oh our Lincoln Logs. He was born screaming for 20 minutes straight. My first exhausted thought was, Is it too late to send that back? I quit crying, (Wait I mean he quit crying), I regained my senses and we have been happy ever since. He really has been such a great baby. As a small baby he really only cried when he was trying to tell you something. Even now he mostly cries out of frustration when... I am just not getting it!

He is still a huge fan of Peak-a-Boo. He just laughs hysterically. He just makes you want to laugh with him. Griff and Bri love to help entertain him. There are many times when all 3 can be seen happily sitting on the loveseat in the boys room, just chilling.

We must not skip the Essentials
Mommy's Sunglasses
Loves oversized hats, and bowls as hats
Pacifi (Pacifier)
Pocksicles (popsicles, atleast 2/time),
sippy (again 2 please)
Kiki's (blankets, the more the merrier)
Blankets, Stuffed friends, Sippy Cups, Every effort is exerted to transport all of these simultaneously! If anything should fall, he halts, bends over, loses even more stuff, repeat, repeat... until SuperMom comes to the rescue.
That lady is lost right now so let us know if you have seen her, STAT.

Mr. Handsome

What can I say about Griffin Mazer? If I say "Honey or Baby", he quickly replies, "I am not honey, I not a baby, I am Griffin Mazer!" Too True, get it right mom. He avoided the camera like the plague for atleast 6 months. Every attempt at taking his picture resulted in a view of his hands covering a very angry face. He is so Hilarious. I have been schooled a great deal in the topics of determination, creativity, and free will.

My attempts to establish a pecking order have not always been successful. When Griffin has been misbehaving or "Going Postal" I have stooped down at his level looked him in the face and with a very stern voice said, "I am the mother, I am in charge." Much to my chagrin he opens his eyes wide, stares me back in the eyes and replies, "I am THE Griffin, I am in charge!"

Yesterday I had plans of leaving for Yogurt after getting kids ready for bed. I had told Griff 10 minutes earlier, "You are so Handsome." He replied earnestly, "I am so handsome." Sure enough as I was about to leave he begged to come. I said something like, you need to go to bed I can't bring you. He said, "But I am so Handsome." Who can argue with that logic? Off we went.

Brian #3, The Dragon That Breathes Like Fire

Brian is our first born. He and his dad played many hours of Halo. By the ripe age of 3 he was quite skilled. He is Brian III so his character on Halo and a 3 and he selected a picture of a fire breathing dragon. From then on if anyone would ask his name his response was, "Brian, number3, The Dragon that breathes like fire." We all loved to ask his name.

His favorite things to do on Halo were driving the Jeeps, Shooting grenade launchers, playing Zombies, and Swimming. Yes that's right, we would go jump off the bridge and play in the water. Everyone knows it is very important to get a swim in while playing Halo.

He also loved to dance. Right in the middle of a mission where people are killing each other he would see Uncle Jorge, or Zeke and say, "Let's Dance." While dancing he would happily sing, "Dance, Dance, Dance" and move his character around. Also integral to sophisticated play is saying, "Brains, brains, brains" as you wander around looking for victims during Zombies.

His video gaming skills are fairly unparalleled for his age, but what can I expect with a dad, four uncles, and all daddy's friends as mentors. Thanks Guys, now my son tries to hide a grenade launcher in his backpack! Who Knew?! Who said Violence breeds Violence?

Halo has been down sized and mostly outsourced now that he is almost 7 it is all about Rockband and Guitar Hero. He loves to battle. He is always sure to point out when my skills are inferior. Got to love the innocence. RubberBand is the group he created. Even Griffin gets into Rocking Out with the band. Lincoln participates by dancing like a wild man.
Brian really is the heart of the family. He cares for everyone. Top 3 great examples:
Still recommends a kiss from mom to his friends when they get injured at school
Just won Mr. Trustworthy, in the Character Counts Program
"Didn't even get Robbed" when he walked to school alone.
