The Man and Baby Lincoln

Kim posted a picture Tag. I usually don't do these, but my camera took a swim, and I just worked 72hours in the last 7 days, so I figured what the heck! My Pictures, folder 6, picture 6. I adore this picture, Brian looks extra rugged and handsome, and Lincoln is making a hysterical face!

I love this man! He's a leap year baby. I married him when he was 5 years old. He is the ultimate dad. Not many dad's have been home for 6-12 weeks to help care for newborns. He used to work for Chase Bank and had 12 weeks paid paternity leave with our 1st child. He to sacrificed and had just 6 weeks fully paid to stay home with Griffin. By the time Lincoln rolled in He was self employed and was home for 3 full months with him.

This man knows how to care for babies, make bottles, not waste breast milk, rumble with boys, give a mean foot massage. Yeah, he is the man. He has a fun, playful, easy going nature. He doesn't yell, he rarely gets angry, and he is very supportive of my favorites: movies, girls nights, shopping and scrapbooking.

Happy Birthday Brian!

Loved it. You lucked out to land on a good pic :) Happy unbirthday (due to lack of leap year), Brian! Hope it is your best unbirthday to date. Great post, Wen.

Why thank you very much.

Uhh, does extra rugged mean not shaving and tired? If so, I think my husband is extra rugged a lot lately! :-) No really, what a great post to extol the virtues of an obviously wonderful spouse and father.

Bubba (cos you know I have to call you that) - Happy birthday on Sat.. er Sun... er on Sunterday. I hope you don't jump any pilates balls or tape explosive to a sledgehammer, but that it's a great birthday nonetheless.

Thank you Denise. The plan is to tape the explosives to my butt, then jump down a flight of stairs to see how high I'll go.

It'll be a great time.

I'd say Happy Birthday, but it's not really your birthday. Have a great day anyway.

We loved having our boy with us on his "unbirthday," as Molly calls it! He got his usual cinnamon rolls but since he's dieting he didn't stuff his face--very grown up for an 8.25-year-old. His boys treated him to breakfast (not in bed, though). Brinny-boy had a towel over his arm while Griffy took the order: grape juice, toast with Britt's jam, cereal, eggs (over easy), Grandpa Shill's grapefruit, and bacon (not too crispy). Brinny-boy's gift of love is to help wash the car--don't know if Griff and Lincy got around to the G-o-Ls, but they gave kisses, so I'm sure that was enough for Brian. We went to family movie night (following Papa John's pizza, of course), and saw Taken. (It's nice when we don't have to wait for the "arm of justice" for bad guys to get their "come-uppance!"). Anyway, Brian's a wonderful person and a "low-maintenance" son (and probably Dad and husband). We love him TONS! I told him that he was the one that made me a MOM! Always something special about THAT! Hugs to all, TuTu

It is impossible to hold back on Tutu's cinamon rolls (hold the raisins).
