It is also amusing to hear his impressions of my future. Mom what will you be when you grow up? I say, well I am a mom and a nurse. He says, Yes, but you could still be something else. My favorite is when he tells me, "Remember when you used to be smart?, You know, Before, when you went to nursing school?" I say casually, whatever do you mean? and he will reply, "After you got out of school all of the information kept falling out of your brain, but you used to be smart." I take comfort in knowing he thinks I used to be smart.
If my kids didn't know any better, I would keep these pictures to represent Halloween this year. I could avoid the costume dilemma altogether. Unfortunately, I have been reading these amazing motherly blogs. To even consider skipping a holiday, and then to share it, I dispel the notion that I too could be one of those super amazing mothers. You know, the ones who make the costumes from scratch, perfectly decorate the home, plan several of their own halloween parties.
Luckily for me, I think I still have these three amigos fooled.
I don't think the dad is much the wiser either... Unless... He just tries to motivate me to greatness with superfluous praise... in which case he reveals that he IS wise beyond his years. Now I know. My husband is Yoda! He tells me, "Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try" Hmmm, so I have to just BE the super amazing mother!
Well, I must be off, much to do, Super amazing moms are VERY Busy!

I have to say that with the costume mishap on my end last year, I have been a bit disenchanted with thoughts of Halloween this year, myself. But we will have fun together this year. At least your kids will get to use the costumes twice.
Those pictures are so cute, love the bumble bee lincoln. And Brians comments about all the information falling out of your brain, haha....kids are hilarious sometimes.
I called you back then fell asleep, so I didn't get the chance to try again, but I got your message and I am good on Mary Kay stuff. Thanks for thinking of me though.
Thats funny about the Yoda line. Jackson uses the same line on me all of the time. Here is our conversation: Mom: You can at least TRY to clean your room. Jack: There is no try, its do or do not. I choose to do not!
Love the pics!!
Really, I would love to spend a day in the life of Brian. That kid just cracks me up! I always cringe when I read "super amazing mom" blogs. I usually feel a little guilty and bad for my kids for having a boring mom, and then I vow not to read those blogs anymore. :) That usually solves it.
What a sweet note you left me on my blog...thank you! Your boys are adorable and we gave up trying to have one! We'd be hilarious on Wife Swap. ;o) Keep in touch...
